MARY KATE BEDELL, OWNER & HEAD DESIGNER
Mary Kate Bedell, CKD is a Certified Kitchen Designer with the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) with 25 plus years of experience in custom kitchen and home design projects. Mary Kate is dedicated to her commitment to satisfy her clients and attention to the many details involved in kitchen design. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Design. Her career in the kitchen industry began in project management before transitioning into designing. For decades, Mary Kate has been a Certified Kitchen Designer with the NKBA in the Triangle where she has completed custom residential designs including interior kitchens, outdoor kitchens, baths, laundries, offices, media rooms, built-ins, and mudrooms. Many of these projects have required multi-room or whole house design for renovation and new construction. Mary Kate treats each project as if it were her own and endeavors to create designs to fulfill her homeowners' dreams.

reakwon bates, Junior designer
Reakwon Bates grew up in Durham, NC, before attending Wake Technical Community College. He joined our team in February 2024 as a Design Assistant following his previous years working in furniture retail before transitioning to Junior Designer. Reakwon graduated from WTCC with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Interior Design. Since he started with Fresh Air Designs, Reakwon immediately made an impact supporting the design and construction process. This includes preparing plans, documentation, project research, drafting, renderings, and job site visits.

ashleigh creran, project manager
Ashleigh Creran joined our team as Project Manager in April 2025, bringing with her over 11 years of hands-on experience in the cabinetry industry. From her early days in the woodshop to managing full-scale operations, Ashleigh has worked every step of the process. Originally from Sussex County, New Jersey, Ashleigh moved to Virginia in 2012 for school and spent the next decade growing her career before relocating to Durham, NC in 2023. Ashleigh holds an associate degree in Business Management with a specialization in Accounting, a foundation that supports her strategic and organized approach to project oversight. Her deep operational knowledge and sharp attention to detail make her an invaluable partner to both owners and installers - keeping projects on time, on budget, and running smoothly. Ashleigh's commitment to quality, communication, and problem-solving makes her a key player in bringing custom kitchen visions to life.

Dylan bedell, director of communications
Dylan Bedell is a native from the North Carolina Triangle area. She has over a decade of experience managing company social media accounts and communication materials. Dylan graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Multimedia Communications. She came on board with Fresh Air Designs at its inception by designing and launching the full brand package for the company. This includes our company logo, business cards, branding documents, website, and social media platforms. Dylan remains active in the local community for Fresh Air Designs and assists with marketing, advertising, social media, content creation, and business development.
